Two or three servers that behave as one: one view, one set of limits, and security that holds everywhere.
Earlier today we wrote that the groundwork of high availability was in testing. Since then the servers have learned to behave as one phone system.
What that means
| Kept as one | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Calls, parked callers, queues | Every dashboard shows the whole system |
| Changes by an administrator | They take effect everywhere within moments |
| Statuses and do-not-disturb | Set on one, they hold on all |
| Lamps and voicemail lights | Right on every phone, whichever server |
| Call limits | They cover every server's calls together |
| Blocked callers and addresses | Blocked on one, blocked on all |
The honest part
A call still stays on the server it started on, and taking over from a failed server is not built yet. All of this is in testing.
