Planned, not built: voicemail and recorded calls written out for you to read and search.
A lot of a working day goes on listening: to voicemail, to recorded calls, to find the one detail somebody mentioned. The next thing we are building is meant to give that time back.
**None of this is built yet.** This is what we plan, so you can tell us whether it is what you need.
What we plan
- **Voicemail in writing.** Each message written out under it on the Voicemail page and in the app, and in the email that tells you it arrived.
- **Recorded calls as a conversation.** Who said what, in order. Press a line to hear that moment.
- **Search by what was said.** Type an order number, a name or a day and find the message or call it was in.
Your callers' voices, kept private
We want your callers' voices kept private. The audio is removed as soon as the text is back, and each business decides for itself whether to switch it on. Until it does, nothing is sent anywhere.
Tested on how Hawaiʻi talks
Speech recognition is good at plain English and less sure of island place names, Pidgin, and calls that move between English and Ilocano, Japanese or Tagalog. Before we promise anything, we are trying it on real messages and calls, and we will say plainly how well it does.
After that
| When | What |
|---|---|
| Next | Voicemail and recorded calls in writing, and search |
| Then | A one-line summary of each message, and urgent voicemail brought to the top |
| Already on the roadmap | Greetings and menu prompts spoken in a natural voice from text you type |
| Further out | Live captions and translation during a call |
Tell us
Which languages do your callers speak? Would a short summary help, or do you want every word? Your answers decide what we build first.
