Kahevo has a home on the web, with a roadmap, a place for MSPs to register, and these updates.
If you are reading this, you have found it.
Why now
For most of its life Kahevo had no website, because it had no need of one. It ran in our own customers' offices, and they already knew where to find us.
That has changed. Other IT companies have been asking about it, and "let me show you on a call" does not scale. So Kahevo has a home on the web.
What is here
- Features: everything it does, and, at the bottom, what is still in testing and what is not built.
- A tour, with a diagram of how the pieces fit.
- Our roots: why an IT company in Hawaiʻi ended up writing a phone system.
- A page for businesses and a page for MSPs, since they ask different questions.
- A roadmap, with the honest note that roadmaps change.
- And these updates.
For MSPs
Kahevo is free for MSPs and stays free. There is no license to renew and no count of users or calls.
MSPs can register as partners from the site. We are not looking for resellers to manage. We are looking for partners who are tired of the same things we were, to help decide what gets built next.
What we are working on
- Several customers on one server.
- Built-in failover from a local server to one in the cloud.
- The rest of the call path in Rust.
- Text messaging, targeted for early 2027.
What we will keep doing here
Saying what we shipped, and what tripped us up.
A request
If something on this site is unclear, or claims more than it should, tell us. We would rather be corrected than be wrong.
Mahalo for reading. A hui hou.
